Brian Aldes merges Teamsters Local 320 with Local 1145!

Image
Teamsters Local 320 has lost so many groups  that  Brian Aldes  now merged Teamsters   320  with  Local 1145    ! Local 1145 is primarily  Honeywell's Union , a private sector unit, not Public Sector.  Ask yourself, How does this benefit Corrections Officers?  Brian already can't balance CO's with Probation and now is adding a Private sector unit? Honeywell, really?  WTF

Teamsters Local 320 Brian Aldes supports Probation Silent on Corrections

Image
There's a Bill being heard that will give Probation Officers an unreduced pension if they retire at 60. Good for them, Teamsters has even written a letter with a petition supporting the change, even though it will cost the plan probably millions of dollars.  Here's Teamster Local 30's letter-  https://www.lcpr.mn.gov/documents/mtgmaterials/2025/Teamsters_60-35_Reasonable_Retirement_Petition.pdf Our question is where is Brian Aldes and Teamsters Local 320's letter supporting the CO's getting a seat on the Pension Board?

LELS Jim Mortenson is opposing the PERA Correctional Pension

Image
Word on the street is LELS Executive Director Jim Mortenson is once again telling dispatchers he will work to get them into the PERA Correctional Pension.  He supported Dispatchers back in 2022 when they tried and even wrote a letter of support to a State Senate Study group. The Study Group even recommended against it. Where was Jim when it came to LELS CO's getting a seat on the Pension Board? Nowhere, silence. He didn't say anything last year, didn't say anything this year.  Does Jim even realize that as of this year State and Local Corrections are now Public Safety Employees just like Police and Fire? Take a look at the IRS designation Jim and quit pissing in the wind to lie to a group of dispatchers who can never get in. Call Jim at 320 980-6815 or email him at  jmortenson@lels.org   and tell him to not lie to dispatchers and to back his CO's Don't be a clown Jim

Where's Dan Wolgamott?

Image
The LCPR (Pension Commission) had their first meeting on March 11, 2025. The only Commission member absent was Representative Dan Wolgamott. So after staying home the first weeks of the session we have to wonder if he got the memo that Democrats were supposed to be back at work? Maybe he's on early retirement? Way to work on our pensions! Where's Wolgamott?

Teamsters Local 320 misplaced priorities

Image
So while the Representatives they endorsed and campaigned for refuse to show up at the Minnesota State Capitol to work, Teamsters Local 320 are marching to an empty building to show solidarity with left wing causes! Here's a link to the group Teamsters Local 320 sponsored: https://www.womensmarch.com/ Their vision  https://www.womensmarch.com/about-us Their initiatives  https://www.womensmarch.com/initiatives Rather than marching against the boogyman why don't you work to make sure the people you endorsed to represent us union members actually go to work?

Rep. Wolgamott making friends and influencing people.

We ran across this on Facebook. Representative Wolgamott is the darling of LELS, AFSCME and Teamsters Local 320 who introduced a bill last session to raid the Correctional Plan .  Big government and big Union working together against us! It looks like he pissed off some others too. Let's see if he shows up for the session or stays home and gets paid! He plead guilty to a DWI in 2023. From this article it appears his drivers license is still suspended.  According to the Minnesota Reformer : "Wolgamott is the House’s speaker pro tempore, meaning he occupied the House speaker’s seat and oversaw conversations on the floor when Speaker Melissa Hortman, DFL-Brooklyn Park, was absent.  He also  was recently named  the 2023 “legislator of the year” by the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association, the state’s largest police group. " Man that bar must be set low!
